Detroit buisnesses work things out with Red Dawn
Yesterday the Detroit news posted this story about a couple Detroit retailers that were complaining that the Red Dawn crew did not notify them that they would by closing Washington Boulevard for filming. From what I undertood, the crew so far has been doing a very good job being accommodating to the Michigan buisnesses and home owners that have been affected by the production.
The Detroit News posted this update today. (this is from the bottom of the article)
"Happy ending for retailers
Business owners in the Himelhoch Building in downtown Detroit and the filmmakers of "Red Dawn" are no longer at odds.
The owners of Rosa's Fashions, B'anna Boutique, and Larry and Dianne Mongo, who rent a space that they intend to turn into a restaurant, say representatives of the film stopped by Wednesday and apologized for not informing them of shooting earlier in the week.
The Detroit News reported that the businesses were unaware filming on Washington Boulevard would block off sections of the street and disrupt their business.
"All we wanted was fairness and we got it," said Larry Mongo.
The filmmakers also have agreed to compensate the small retailers for any loss of business.
How's that for a Hollywood ending"
Glad to see things worked out. Now lets get back to blowing up stuff!

Some of my photos
Well I finally got a chance to post some of my own photos from Pontiac. The crew was kind enough to let us sit in one of the trucks. My kids loved it. Check out the rest here.
WOOT!
I have a special meeting tonight. Hope to update you all later. :)
